A Letter from Dr. Ellis: Welcoming Dr. Gordon Kelch to Our Practice

Dear Valued Patients:

My Friends, it is with mixed emotions that I would like to announce that after 27 years in Whatcom County, my family and I have decided that it’s time to get back to Idaho to be closer to loved ones. We are very excited for this next phase of our lives, but find it hard to leave the wonderful people and places we’ve enjoyed all these years here in Whatcom County! It has truly been a wonderful experience for me to practice dentistry in this beautiful place with such amazing patients and staff! I feel so fortunate to have found this picturesque location at Nugent’s Corner and to have practiced the enjoyable art and science of dentistry here. I am grateful for each one of you, for your friendship and the trust you have placed in me and my staff to care for you all these years.

I have spent a great deal of time and effort preparing for the transition and patiently waiting for the right dentist to come along to take the reins. I feel very confident that I have found the right person and would like to introduce to you Dr. Gordon Kelch.

Dr. Kelch grew up near Chicago and earned his dental degree from Marquette University. After dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at the Portland VA where he quickly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. He brings over seven years of clinical experience to the practice and is thrilled to plant his roots in beautiful Whatcom County. When he is not in the clinic, you can usually find him outdoors – trail running, snowboarding, or capturing the local scenery through photography. At home he enjoys cooking and unwinding with his fiancée Alissa, and Shasta their speedy adventure dog.

Dr. Kelch’s desire is to carry on the legacy of this practice by providing exceptional service with honest, high-quality dental care in a comfortable setting. He is dedicated to building long-lasting relationships with both patients and staff. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and is truly excited to meet you!

Dr. Kelch’s dental philosophy is very similar to mine. We both believe in recommending treatment we would recommend to our own family. Having Dr. Kelch take over for me makes me feel comfortable in my decision, knowing that you will be well taken care of and that I am leaving you in good hands. Rest assured the same staff you have grown to love will continue to provide you and your family with the same outstanding service you are accustomed to.

Thank you again for your support and loyalty over the years. As much as I will miss the area, I will miss you, the patient, ten times more. I wish each of you great health and happiness!

Sincerely,

Randal W Ellis DMD
